Who I am
This website is run by Md Serajul Islam, trading as iamSerajul. I am responsible for the personal information described on this page. You can contact me about it at serajul.web@gmail.com.
What I collect
- When you contact me. If you message me on WhatsApp or send an email, I receive what you send: usually your name, your phone number or email address, details about your business and anything else you choose to include.
- Analytics, only if you accept. If you accept cookies, Google Analytics records how the site is used: the pages you visit, the device and browser you use, your approximate location at city level and how you arrived. Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses.
- Technical data. The site is hosted by Vercel, which processes technical information such as IP addresses and browser type to deliver the pages and protect the site from abuse.
I do not use contact forms that store your details on this website, and I do not sell or rent personal information to anyone.
Why I use it
- To reply to your enquiry, give you a price and, if you go ahead, build and support your website. This is based on my legitimate interest in answering enquiries and on taking steps you asked for before entering into a contract.
- To understand which pages are useful and improve the site. This is based on your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
- To keep the site secure and working. This is based on my legitimate interest in running a safe website.
Who it is shared with
I only share personal information with the services needed to run this site and my business:
- Google, for Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager and email.
- Vercel, which hosts this website.
- WhatsApp, owned by Meta, when you choose to message me there.
If you follow my Hostinger referral link, you leave this website and Hostinger's own privacy policy and cookies apply.
Where it is processed
I work from Bangladesh, so information you send me is accessed from outside the UK. The services listed above may also process data outside the UK, including in the United States. Where they do, they rely on the safeguards recognised under UK data protection law, such as approved contract terms.
How long I keep it
- Enquiries that do not lead to any work are deleted within 12 months.
- Records for clients are kept for 6 years after our work together ends, for tax and accounting purposes.
- Google Analytics data is kept for 14 months.
Cookies
This site only sets analytics cookies if you click Accept. If you click Reject, or make no choice, Google Analytics cookies are not set.

Your choice itself is saved in your browser's local storage under the name iam_consent, so the banner does not appear on every page. You can change your mind at any time using , which is also linked at the bottom of every page.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to ask for a copy of your personal information, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to how it is used, to have it transferred to you or someone else, and to withdraw your consent at any time. Email me at serajul.web@gmail.com and I will reply within one month.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how I have handled your information, please tell me first so I can try to put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date at the top.
